Enabling Human-Swarm Coordination

JORGE CORTES

Abstract

Swarms of autonomous robots can be a tremendous asset in critical missions, including disaster response and recovery, environmental monitoring, and ocean sampling. Our research at UC San Diego is exploring the coordination of robotics swarms to achieve a variety of motion coordination tasks. This talk presents recent progress on the engineering of human-swarm coordination to allow multi-robot teams to incorporate human input into their operation to effectively orchestrate their actions.
